Preventive maintenance is the best way to avoid costly repairs, while providing greater energy savings, ex- tending the life of your home comfort system, and making sure your system is performing in top condition. When we perform a tune-up, you can be sure it is through, not just a quick once over. Our goal is to avoid breakdowns and increase the life of your home comfort system.

A/C Tune-up

(Scheduled in May of each year)

An A/C tune-up keeps your cooling system in good working order. This will increase the efficiency of the condensing unit, reduce wear and tear and help prevent breakdowns.

This tune up includes the following:

  • Lubricate motors (if applicable)

  • Check Capacitors

  • Clean Outside of ac unit.

  • Check evaporator air temperatures

  • Check wiring & connections

  • Check refrigerant charge

  • Check operating pressures

  • Check voltage and AMP draw

  • Clean condensation line

  • Check performance of system

  • Check contactor points

  • Check pressure switches

  • Clean condenser coil

  • Check temperature differential

  • Check evaporator coil (In the event the coil is plugged and needs to be removed and cleaned, additional labor will be charged.)

  • Inspect the air filter and change if necessary (filter supplied by customer) * see note 1

  • Inspect outdoor disconnect

  • Inspect condenser fan motor & blades

  • Inspect compressor at startup

Heating Tune Up

(Scheduled in November of each year)

A furnace tune-up keeps your heating system in good working order. This will increase the efficiency of the furnace, reduce wear and tear and help prevent break- downs.

This tune up includes the following:

  • Lubricate motors (if applicable)

  • Adjust controls if needed

  • Adjust combustion air to burners

  • Check Pressure switches

  • Inspect the air filter and change if necessary. (filter supplied by customer) * see note 1

  • Check air temperature rise

  • Check wiring & connections

  • Clean burners

  • Check for gas leaks in furnace

  • Check heat exchanger for cracks

  • Check performance of system

  • Check heat strips (heat pumps only)

  • Check heat pump in heating mode (heat pumps only)

  • Check heat pump in defrost (heat pumps only)

  • Clean blower

  • Check airflow
